Japan’s Credit Saison Launches $50M Fund to Bridge US Blockchain Startups and Asian Markets
Credit Saison, through its venture arm Saison Capital, has launched a $50 million fund targeting US blockchain startups with Asian market potential. The fund, named Onigiri Capital, has already secured $35 million and focuses on real-world asset (RWA) projects, including payment tools, tokenization, and decentralized finance.
Asia's growing prominence in blockchain finance is a key driver. Many US startups lack the regional expertise to navigate regulatory and institutional frameworks. Onigiri Capital aims to provide access to networks in Japan, Singapore, Indonesia, Korea, Malaysia, and the Philippines.
The initiative highlights deepening ties between US developers and Asian financial markets. Credit Saison's MOVE underscores institutional confidence in blockchain's role in economic infrastructure.
